Dental brightening

Beautiful teeth are first and foremost healthy teeth… but if they’re also white, that’s even better. At least, that’s what most people want these days. Perhaps you do too?

Bleaching is an important part of cosmetic dentistry. Recent studies show that over 85% of people would like to have whiter teeth, but not all patients directly request a tooth whitening treatment when they visit the dentist.

The German-made whitening system and Flash lamp feature the latest high-performance LED technology, with a light spectrum focused on high intensity with visible blue light. The LED has a lifetime of over 10,000 applications, and the system allows perfect positioning in front of the patient – a perfect ergonomic solution. With a safe working temperature and special settings for sensitive teeth and single-tooth whitening, the Flash whitening system offers highly effective treatments with simple, intuitive operation.

The treatment consists of applying a gel to whiten your teeth. The whitening gel comes into contact with the tooth surface, penetrates through the enamel and then the dentin, and by releasing molecules causes discoloration, i.e. bleaching. It’s important to know that our teeth have a basic shade that is not white. In fact, they tend to be yellow with blue, orange or other undertones, depending on the individual.

Lightening is not harmful to your teeth as long as it is carried out according to the correct instructions (application time, amount of product, etc.). These treatments actually act as a kind of discoloration on existing structures: the product partially demineralizes the tooth surface to discolor the underlying pigments. The first signs of lightening are very rapid (in just a few days), but the longer the treatment, the deeper the product acts and the longer the results will last.

Why use LED lights?

The whitening effect is achieved by chemicals applied to the teeth. LED lights are used to accelerate the chemical reaction of these products, with the aim of making the whitening process faster and more effective, without altering tooth structure.

Is bleaching safe and effective?

Teeth whitening is always an effective treatment, but sometimes it can fall short of your expectations. When performed in a dental office, teeth whitening is a risk-free treatment, as it works to remove pigmentation from the teeth without altering or damaging either the enamel or dentin structure.

Can bleaching cause sensitivity?

Increased tooth sensitivity to cold and heat is the most common side effect for those undergoing teeth whitening, which is alleviated immediately after treatment with specific products if it occurs.

How long does the result last?

Bleaching time varies from patient to patient. Diet, consumption of coloring beverages (red wine, coffee, tea), age and oral hygiene habits influence the durability of this treatment.

It’s always very important to follow the recommendations given to you at the office to achieve longer-lasting results.
